Why count strips instead of square feet?

Wallpaper hangs in full-height strips. Each wall needs a whole number of strips, and each roll supplies a whole number of full cuts. Spare length cannot always cover another strip. Wallometry shows both roundings so you can check the result.

Start with the example above: an 8-strip wall needs two free-match rolls, or three rolls when a 64 cm straight repeat reduces each roll to three cuts. No sign-up needed.
